WCO Train-the-trainers Green Customs Workshop, Beirut, Lebanon, 13 - 15 April 2010

The first joint World Customs Organisation - Green Customs Initiative train-the-trainer workshop on environmental border protection in the Middle East Region was held in Beirut, Lebanon, on 13 - 15 April 2010. This meeting bought together participants from customs administrators from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. These were joined by the WCO RILO Middle East and representatives of the Green Customs Partners, both from the respective Secretariats and regional representatives to provide presentations and information and to facilitate discussions in the workshop.
