WCO Green Customs Regional Workshop , Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 12-16 July 2010

A five day train-the-trainer Green Customs Workshop was held at the World Customs Organisation Regional Training Cenre (RTC), in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The workshop was held under the banner of "WCO and the Green Customs Initiative" and was supported by generous funding from the Japanese Customs Cooperation Fund. The meeting was opened by Gregorio Lora Arias, Advisor to the Director General of the Dominican Republic Customs Administration.

Participants from the customs administrations from the following countries attended: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Lucia, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago and Uruguay. These were joined by the representatives of the Green Customs Partners, both from the respective Secretariats and regional representatives to provide presentations and information and to facilitate discussions in the workshop.
